Scheduling Your First Appointment

When you first contact our office, you will speak with our Patient Coordinator Julie. She will discuss any concerns you have and help arrange your initial appointment with Dr. Bacquet at your convenience.

If you are coming to us for the first time as an emergency patient, we will do our best to see you as soon as possible, usually the same day.

When You Arrive

When you first arrive for your dental appointment, one of our front desk team members will welcome you warmly and get you settled in our comfortable reception area.

As a new patient, we need to get some information from you including a Patient Information form and your Medical and Dental History. You can find these on our Forms page, and you can download, print, and complete them in the comfort of your home.

Dental Appointments with Your Van Nuys DentistIf you choose to fill out your forms at our office, please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment, so you get the most out of your time with Dr. Bacquet.

Please also bring your driver’s license and an insurance card if you have one.

Your Appointment

When it’s time for your appointment, one of our dental assistants will take you back to your private treatment room and make sure you are comfortable. After a brief review of your history, she will take any intraoral photos or digital x-rays as needed.

You will then meet Dr. Bacquet, and he will review any areas of concern you have with him. He will perform a dental cleaning and exam to check the overall health of your teeth, gums, jaw joints (TMJ), and smile.

After Dr. Bacquet has completed the dental exam, he will review all x-rays and photographs. He will then discuss his findings and help you make the proper decision about any treatment you may need.

Once you and Dr. Bacquet have decided on a treatment plan, our Patient Coordinator Julie will review insurance and financial details with you so you know what to expect before we begin.
